Data Center Essentials: Mechanical & Cooling

عن هذا الكورس

In the next section of the Data Center Essentials courses, we cover the mechanical cooling systems that support data centers and prevent them from overheating. As the data center power and density has increased every year, the need to remove the heat generated has become a more important factor for the design and operation of the facility. Because the cooling systems are a major consideration when aiming for efficiency, we will cover many of the diverse solutions that have been successfully implemented to save energy and water. We will start with the common terminology, standards, guides and operating conditions for data centers before moving on to more complex components, operations, and controls. And whether you are walking through a data center every day or only once in a while it is important to understand how the cooling and mechanical systems are operating to keep the internet up and running. During these five lectures we will cover:Concepts, definitions, operating conditions - the typical mechanical terms, cooling operations, and redundancy levelsAir cooling solutions - air cooling and operating parameters for typical and atypical data centersComputational Fluid Dynamics - what it is, how these tools are used, and what to look for when analyzing a data center flow modelWater cooling solutions - water cooling components, circulation, and typical arrangements for modularity and redundancyWater system operations - operating the data center cooling systems efficiently and effectively, including water cooled servers and immersion cooling

Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)

Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)

Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is a statistical technique that is used to check if the means of two or more groups are significantly different from each other. ANOVA checks the impact of one or more factors by comparing the means of different samples. The ANOVA test is the initial step in analyzing factors that affect a given data set. Once the test is finished, an analyst performs additional testing on the methodical factors that measurably contribute to the data set's inconsistency. The analyst utilizes the ANOVA test results in an f-test to generate additional data that aligns with the proposed regression models. The ANOVA test allows a comparison of more than two groups at the same time to determine whether a relationship exists between them. The result of the ANOVA formula, the F statistic (also called the F-ratio), allows for the analysis of multiple groups of data to determine the variability between samples and within samples. If no real difference exists between the tested groups, which is called the null hypothesis, the result of the ANOVA's F-ratio statistic will be close to 1. The distribution of all possible values of the F statistic is the F-distribution. This is actually a group of distribution functions, with two characteristic numbers, called the numerator degrees of freedom and the denominator degrees of freedom. This course helps in : Knowing the basics of Analysis of VarianceGaining In depth knowledge of Analysis of VarianceUnderstanding One way Analysis of Variance having equal values in each sample and unequal valuesSolution of Two way Analysis of Variance without ReplicationUnderstanding the Complexity of Two way Analysis of Variance with Replication

HOW TO OPTIMIZE ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION ACROSS A COUNTRY

This Course teaches You the Basics of Power Distribution Systems at a National Level. There are five main modules for this Course:1. Introduction or Overview of National Electrical Distribution SystemsA National Electrical Power System Can be Broken Up into three Major Parts: Generation, Transmission, and Distribution. In a National Electrical Power System, Power from Generating Stations is Stepped up to 230-750 KV.The Transmission System transmits the Power to Distribution Substations. Distribution Substations step the Power down to 0.6-35 kv for Primary Distribution Lines. Distribution Transformers step down the Power Voltage from 0.6-35 KV to 220-240V. Secondary Distribution Lines Carry the Voltage from the Distribution Transformers to the End Users.2. How Electrical is Currently Distributed in a CountryThere are four types of Primary Distribution SystemsA. Radial FeedersB. Parallel FeedersC. Loop Distribution FeedersD. Network FeedersThere are four types of Secondary Power Distribution Systems.A. The Separate Service System.B. The Raidal SystemC. The Secondary-Bank SystemD. The Secondary Network System. There are 6 Major Processes or Steps involved in Distributing Electricity from a National Electrical Grid. These are:A. Power Generating StationsB. Power Transmission LossesC. Power Distribution CentersD. State DistributionsE. Within State Distributions,F. Timing of Electricity Distributions.3.
