The above steps are summarized within the report as Findings, Discussion and Conclusion (summary and recommendation). We explore the stages of critical thinking and how they can be used to ensure that the evidence and facts and information collected for the assessment or investigation of insurance claims is interpreted holistically and reported on in a way that ensures all loose end are tied up and all conflicts are addressed. The stages include knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation and each step strives to take you deeper into the cognitive analysis of the claim. There are so many examples shared throughout the course and these illustrate how to use each stage of critical thinking to maximize the information you have collected and ensure that no holes can be poked in your reasoning.
