ماذا يعني ال BIM ؟؟!!ال BIM نمذجة بيانات المبنيتعنى عمل نموذج للمبني بكل تفاصيله المعمارية و الانشائية و الميكانيكية و كل المعلومات اللازمة له نمذجة معلومات المبنى هو أسلوب جديد للتصميم والتنفيذ والإدارة (وهو رقمي بالتأكيد) وهو يطرح إمكانية تبادل المعلومات بين المساهمين في أي مشروع, فهو يقوم بخزن كل المعلومات في قاعدة بيانات يمكن استعرضها بأشكال شتى كما في المخطط في الأدنى.مصطلح نمذجة معلومات البناء BIM - حسب بعض التعريفات- يشير إلى القدرة على نمذجة مكونات البناء إلى عناصر ثلاثية الأبعاد مع تضمينها جميع المعلومات التي تحدد خصائها، أدبيات أخرى تقصر التعريف على استخدام وإعادة الاستخدام وتبادل المعلومات من خلال الوثائق الإلكترونية.
