Carbon Footprint Made Simple: Practical Guide & Case Studies
Climate change is the defining challenge of our time — and carbon footprint measurement is at the heart of sustainable solutions. This comprehensive course will guide you through the fundamentals of greenhouse gases, their global warming potential, and the science behind carbon footprints. You’ll explore how emissions are generated across sectors, how to calculate footprints for individuals, families, and industries, and how to implement strategies for reduction.Through real-world case studies and practical calculations, you will learn how to assess Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions, quantify industry-specific footprints, and apply internationally recognized frameworks like the Paris Climate Agreement and IPCC guidelines.By the end of this course, you will not only understand carbon accounting but also gain the skills to measure, manage, and reduce emissions effectively — making you an asset in sustainability-driven industries. What You Will LearnThe Greenhouse Effect and human activities driving emissionsGlobal Warming Potential (GWP) and atmospheric lifetime of major GHGsDefinition calculation of a carbon footprintCarbon emissions by sector, top global emitters, and country comparisonsParis Climate Agreement goals and IPCC report findings (rich vs poor nations)Carbon footprint of fuels: diesel, petrol, LPG, coal-based electricity, and aviationStep-by-step methods to calculate family and industry footprintsScope 1 (direct), Scope 2 (indirect), and Scope 3 (value chain) emissions explainedPractical case studies:Family household carbon footprintIndustrial

Designing Hybrid Rooftop Solar PV Systems Made Simple
This comprehensive course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to design, analyze, and financially evaluate hybrid rooftop solar systems. From estimating power demand to selecting system components, from 3D modeling in Google SketchUp to financial feasibility studies, this course offers a 360° learning experience in hybrid solar project design.Learners will not only master the technical aspects but also gain hands-on exposure to tools like Google SketchUp for shadow analysis and NREL’s PVWatts software for power estimation. The course emphasizes real-world applications, enabling students to prepare a complete design, bill of materials (BOM), and financial model for a hybrid rooftop solar project.Whether you are an aspiring renewable energy engineer, a solar entrepreneur, or a professional seeking to expand your expertise, this course provides a career-defining skill set in one of the fastest-growing global industries.Learning OutcomesBy the end of this course, students will be able to:Understand the fundamentals of hybrid rooftop solar systems and their applications.Estimate power demand (manually and using PVWatts software).Perform 3D modeling & shadow analysis using Google SketchUp.Select appropriate solar panels, inverters, batteries, and balance-of-system components.Prepare a Bill of Materials (BOM) for procurement.Conduct financial modeling (CAPEX, OPEX, payback period, IRR, NPV).Design optimal hybrid systems integrating grid, solar, and storage solutions.Gain insights into operation, maintenance, and project feasibility studies</

New Capabilities in PLS Path Modeling
Over the past several years, a significant number of new PLS path modeling (PLS-PM) approaches, techniques, and capabilities have been published in the leading academic and scientific journals. As a methodological field, variance-based path modeling with latent variables has witnessed more new, published technological advancements and developments than in the preceding two decades. This 7-session course teaches many of these new concepts and how to specify and model them with various PLS path modeling softwares available today. All of the demonstrated softwares, some as trial versions, are freely available to use as of the publication date of this Udemy course. Use the convenient new over-the-Internet PLS-GUI "Software as a Service" (SaaS) path modeling software platform with the capability to perform PLS-PM from any computer in the world using only a browser. Securely access, upload and/or download, and reliably estimate your PLS data files and/or modify and manipulate your PLS project and model files from any computer in the world. In addition to providing the convenience and speed of using the PLS-GUI SaaS platform, the workshop also instructs with respect to using the new ADANCO composite modeling PLS software which participants may install on their Windows or Mac computer. This is a "hands-on" course which explains the basis of many new PLS path modeling estimation capabilities and features, and which then proceeds to demonstrate numerous examples of these new capabilities and features using various PLS path modeling packages. All of the demonstrated software, some as trial versions, are freely available to use as of the publication date of this course. New PLS-PM capabilities and features which are explained and demonstrated include consistent PLS and non-linear PLS algorithm estimation, N-group multi-group analysis (MGA), prediction-oriented segmentation (PLS-POS) and genetic-algorithm segmentation (PLS-GAS), and new visualizations for illustrating latent
